Sara began her musical studies at age six on the piano, later taking up the violin and flute at age 10. She competed in the Peel Music Festival from the age of 6, winning numerous awards each year. In high school, Sara attended Cawthra Park Secondary School in Mississauga as a piano major in the Regional Arts Program. At Cawthra, she was able to develop her skills as a soloist and collaborative pianist, as well as experiment in other genres such as jazz piano.

Sara studied at the Université de Montréal where she recently completed her Master’s Degree in Piano Performance (Maîtrise en interprétation) in May 2018, under the guidance of Dr. Jean Saulnier. Previously, Sara received her Artist Diploma at the University of Western Ontario, as well as her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance in 2015, studying with John-Paul Bracey. She also studied with Dr. Brett Kingsbury at Western and spent a summer studying with Jean-Paul Sevilla in France.

In addition to her studies in solo piano, Sara has played in a variety of chamber ensembles. Sara attended the Orford Festival in Québec in the summers of 2014-2016 where she received scholarships to study with several renowned artists such as Benjamin Pasternak from the Peabody Institute and Jean Saulnier from the Université de Montréal.

In July 2018, Sara opened her piano studio in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, where she taught piano and music theory to students of all ages and levels. In 2019, Sara received the Young Woman’s Grant for Entrepreneurs at the Winter Winterlude and performed a recital in the Concert Series by the Hear! Here! Society. Since 2019, she has been teaching students all over the world online from many countries, including Canada, the Unites States and Sweden.
